About Sudsy Confections

Welcome to Sudsy Confections!  It has been a long and interesting journey to start this website.  My interest in skincare started when I became more interested in natural living.  I took a course on herbalism and from there, I took a course on natural skincare.  I didn't feel I learned enough in that course, so I took yet another course on organic skincare formulation.  I got good enough at that to make my own skincare products.  I love my make-up remover and moisturizer.  They are awesome!!  I thought of starting an organic skincare business, but pushy sales of high priced items just isn't in my personality.  Organic items have to be high priced because my cost to make them is high, and I'm just really not all that into that.  Plus, none of my friends are really into that, so it would be a new group of people to work with.      Then I got into soap making.  That is a fun and addicting hobby.  I tried to keep that all natural for a while, but I really like to make things that smell like food.  It may come from the fact that before this I had a food blog for a few years.  Well, it is very hard to make foodie scented things sticking with only essential oils.  I've got some great chocolate, choco mint, and citrus items, but I really wanted other fruit smells and a vanilla that didn't cost an arm and a leg.  So I started using fragrance oils and micas to add some colors.   That has been a lot of fun.  I still try to make my products as natural as possible.   You won't find phthalates or parabens in any of my products.  If ever concerned about an ingredient, feel free to ask.
